Website Hosting Plans
Once your web site has been designed, developed and is ready to "go live" for internet visitors to view, it needs to be placed on a server connected the World Wide Web. Hosting is the word server operators use for renting space for your new website to reside, like renting a store front from a shopping mall or office space. The design and functionality of the website determines what type of hosting is required to display it properly.
We offer our clients two alternatives for hosting their new web site:
- Some clients who are computer savvy and want to maintain close involvement in all aspects of their web site may prefer to arrange their own hosting, email and domain registrar services themselves.
- Other clients prefer to let us handle all aspects of their website hosting and email set up and even purchase a domain name on their behalf.
It's really a matter of client preference. If you choose to handle your own hosting, email and domain name set up and maintainenance, we recommend using GoDaddy.com since they offer the ColdFusion MX programming platform on which our websites are built. GoDaddy prices their hosting plans on an a la carte basis, which means you choose a basic plan then add the additional features you need or want.
Do it Yourself at GoDaddy:
For example: The basic hosting plan at GoDaddy is $3.99 per month. Adding the ColdFusion platform is an additional $1.99 and adding web site statistics is another $2.99, making a total of $8.97 per month or $107.64 per year. A domain name (e.g., www.yoursite.com) costs $8.95. GoDaddy also has email options available.
After you purchase and set up your hosting account, you supply us with your username and password so that we can access the server to upload and modify your site.
Let Us Do the Work:
If you don't have the knowledge or experience to set up and maintain your web site hosting or just simply don't have the time or desire to do so, we can arrange hosting for you and will set up the hosting, including up to six emails, for $199 per year. (Additional emails added at our standard hourly rates). Web Site statistics and marketing information is included in the annual fee (no additional charge). If you desire, we can also purchase and set up a domain name on your behalf for $15.95.
